Sightseeing in Terre-de-Haut

If you’d like to do a bit of sightseeing in Terre-de-Haut, there are several remarkable sites to see, accessible on foot, but also by scooter or electric buggy. If you’re a hiker, the Morne Morel trail will take you through sublime landscapes, cactus and iguanas, and back to Pompierre Bay.

The ascent of Le Chameau also provides access to a breathtaking panorama. The more athletic will descend the opposite slope to reach Crawen Cove.

Other lovely walks take you to Anse Mire and Fort Napoléon, with its museum of Saintes history and exotic garden.

And don’t miss a visit to one of the many painting galleries, where sublime explosions of color await you.

Take a stroll along the ramparts of the Tête-Rouge battery, near the coves of Anse des Galets and Pré-Cassin. These fortifications face the Pain de Sucre, a volcanic hill that opens onto one of Les Saintes’ most beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters and exceptional seabed.

Finally, indulge in a little shopping and strolling in downtown Terre-de-Haut, and take time to admire its town hall, church and incredible view over the Baie des Saintes.
